We believe in relationships, living life together deeply throughout the week, not simply being a Sunday community. In our LIFE Communities we journey through issues of faith, God, and relationships, in doing so learning how these all intertwine and how we all are connected.
What happens at a LIFE Community?
A typical LIFE Community aims to love God through our praise, prayer and study of His Word. We also endeavor to introduce others to Jesus Christ by involving them in our personal and community life. In addition we desire to genuinely care for each other, sharing the joys and sorrows of life. As we grow in our faith we purposefully work toward becoming more like Jesus.
How can I join a LIFE Community?
There are several ways to become part of a LIFE Community. One is to begin our 4 phase discipleship process where you join a Phase 1 group led by our Lead Pastor OJ Zerbin. Here you will learn about us as a church - who we are, why we exist, what we believe, etc. After that you can progress through the rest of the phases and become connected with those who also participate in this process with you. A second way is to join one of our LIFE communities when we do our yearly sermon and small group spiritual emphasis series which begins each autumn. And a third option is to just inquire about joining a community at any time of the year. We have various groups meeting throughout the week and they predominantly meet on the south side of Edmonton.
